Sunday January 24th we will meet at 2pm at Berridge Bikes and Boards then drive out to Douglassville to recon the course Terry is proposing for a race. It is a very hilly course and we will take it at a pretty good clip, so don’t come tired! We want to see if the course is a good one and if everything could be put together fairly easily. Look forward to seeing ALL Team Edge there and as many club members as possible. I know there are some fast club members out there!

Next Sunday January 31st, we will start our Sunday races again. We have to start getting ready for the big races to come. Next Sunday @ 3pm we will leave out of St. Michaels. For the month of February we will have a mock Stage race for Team Edge members and of course all club members are invited to try it. It will consist of five stages. More details on that later. See you guys next Sunday 3pm @ St Michaels!
Happy New Year! What a year we had as a club/team in 2009 and I’m looking forward to the potential we have in 2010. Our newest Team Edge member, John Ashby started the year off right by winning the Dustbuster Mountain Bike Race (Cat 3)yesterday in Keithville, LA. Way to go John!
If you’re a Team Edge member, it’s time to renew your license at www.usacycling.org . The membership fee for the entire year is $60.00 and can be paid online. If you haven’t raced with Team Edge but are interested in doing so, please let me know and I can walk you through the steps on how to register with the team. We’d love to have you!
Our first club meeting of the year will be Monday, January 11th at 5:30 PM at Timothy’s. This is a very important meeting when we will adopt the bylaws of Edge City Cycling. Also, it’s time to pay club dues of $25.00 for an individual membership or $30.00 for a family membership. Please come to the meeting prepared to do so.
Dee has been working on our 2010 race/ride calendar and we’ll have a working copy for you at the meeting. We’ll also have a training/ride calendar prepared to hand out. We have big plans and improvements on the drawing board for the website this year and will keep you updated on the progress that is made.
Our goal is to grow the club/team and cycling awareness in the Texarkana area. If you know of someone who is interested in seeing what we’re all about, please invite them to the meeting. All are welcome and encouraged to come!
