Texarkana Bicycle Club will be presenting awards to the Time Trial winners on Monday, November 23 at Big Jakes, Arkansas side. They usually meet to eat at 6 pm and start the meeting at 6:30 to 6:45.

What a great ride!!! 28 miles at a pretty relaxed pace (it did get a little fast at times). We had 8 riders show up for the inaugural Bike Shop ride. We were able to talk about next year and this past year. Come to think of it, it was nice just being able to talk during one of our rides! If you have not been by the new shop, you gotta come see it. This will be the perfect place to meet on Sat. mornings before the rides.

Do not forget about Thursday night’s ride from Lafferty’s. See you on the road!

Starting this Saturday November 14th, we will be having our regular Ride from the New bike shop. Saturday rides will be a no rider left behind 2 to 3 hour ride leaving the new bike shop at 8am. These rides will increase in time so that by January we will do some 5 to 6 hour rides.

On Thursdays starting November 19th at 6:30pm we will be having a 1 to 1.5 hour ride behind the New Lafferty’s store. There is plenty of lighting on the streets, but if you have lights bring them for safety and of course it is the law. This ride will be a multiple lap ride with some riders going very fast and most riders going at an easy pace. If you want you could go hard and fast for a few laps, then sit in with the more relaxed group. Either way, Edge City looks forward to a great winter of riding. We will be adding more rides to the calendar later.

We’ll be leaving Timothy’s at 9:00 AM this Saturday morning for a 30-40 mile ride, or longer if you want to keep going! The pace will be moderate, nothing hard, just a nice off season ride to keep the legs moving. Come on out and enjoy the beautiful weather! It will be cold soon….
